Recruitment Marketing New User Guide: Content Approver

Recruitment Marketing Public

Content Approver

As a Content Approver, you will have the ability to approve content for live publishing. This role, when given on its own, will not have access to the system, however, they are able to view and approve the web pages via email.

As a user with this role, you will get emails requesting content approval when a user without Content Publisher rights requests approval. This user may review and approve the content right from the email without needing to log in. This makes it a manager-friendly approval process.

When content is approved, it is automatically published. All content approval is logged in the User Audit Log available from the side menu, under Reports & Logs.

A Content Approver has permission to:

  • Approve content for publishing.

Publishing a page

What does it mean to "publish" a page?

In Recruitment Marketing, users can edit their career site without the changes being applied to the live site until they are officially "published".

Why do we need to "publish" a page?

  • Quality Control & Review: Changes can be reviewed, tested, and approved before going live, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Error Prevention: Users can catch mistakes or make improvements before the changes are visible to the public, reducing the risk of publishing incorrect information.
  • Collaboration & Workflow Management: Teams can work on updates, get feedback, and refine content before finalising it.
  • Version Control & Revisions: Drafting and previewing changes allow users to experiment without affecting the current live version, making it easier to roll back or refine content.
  • User Experience & Brand Consistency: Ensuring that only polished and approved content goes live helps maintain a professional and cohesive brand image.

Approving changes

If you are a user with permission to approve changes, once a request is submitted, you will receive an email notification.

If you have multiple approvers, the first person in that list will approve the changes, it will not require each person in the list to approve.

When clicking on "Click here" in the email, it will display a view only version of the web page.

When clicking the "Approve page" link in the email, the user will be directed to a page to complete the approval.
