Configuring the Candidate Consent email

This article outlines the steps to create and configure the Candidate Consent email within Recruitment Marketing. Additionally, it also covers how to assign the email as the default template for candidate consent communications, ensuring compliance and consistency. Setting up the candidate consent email

  1. From the side menu, under CRM, click Emails.
  2. Click New, and complete the following:
    1. Please name your email: This is a free text field for the name of the template.
    2. What type of email would you like to create?: Select New email from theme.
    3. What will this email be used for?: Select Candidate Consent.
    4. Please choose a theme: Select the Candidate Consent theme.
    5. Click Save.
      You will be directed to the Edit email page, where a pre-populated candidate consent email will be displayed.
  3. If required, hover over the text and click the Edit block icon to review and update the email text.

  4. Click Next Step.
  5. In the Settings tab, complete the following:
    1. Name: This will pre-populate but can be changed if required.
    2. Subject: This is a free text field for the email’s subject.
    3. From: Select the sender from the drop-down.
    4. Preheader Text: This is optional but can be useful to provide candidates with a summary of what's inside the email. This will display in the user's inbox if used, otherwise, the beginning of the email will display.
    5. Tick Personalise links to enable it.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Preview the email.
  8. Click the Send test button to test the new email.

    Note:

    Test emails are non-repeatable. Only new recipients will receive subsequent tests and previously tested addresses are automatically excluded.

Set your default candidate consent email

To set up the new email template as your default Candidate Consent email:

  1. From the side menu, under Company, click Settings.
  2. Under Email, click Candidate emails.
  3. For the Please choose the email to be used for Candidate Consents drop-down field, select the template you created earlier.

  4. Click Save.

The default Candidate Consent email is now set.
