Creating and adding a recruiting call-to-action

Recruitment Marketing Public

A Call-to-Action (CTA) is the means by which an anonymous visitor to your careers-related landing pages demonstrates an interest in your company as an employer and makes him/herself known to that employer.

A CTA takes the form of a button or link that commands attention and can ask a visitor to enter his or her email address in exchange for a free download, or to secure his or her place on an email list. A CTA can also be used as the first step in the job application process with the help of our ATS integrations.

The CTA tool allows you to quickly and easily build calls-to-action designed specifically with your recruiting goals in mind.

  • Capture emails and build out your talent network for easier sourcing.
  • Register the interest of and identify promising candidates, even before they apply for a job.
  • Get to know and communicate with candidates that would otherwise remain anonymous.

Creating a call-to-action

  1. From the side menu, under Content click Calls-To-Action
  2. Click New to create a new CTA
  3. Give your call-to-action a name - something that will render it instantly recognisable in a list.
  4. Assign a call-to-action type. If the CTA is a Form, refer to Creating a form type CTA for information on using the Form Builder. Where additional fields appear, choose accordingly from the drop downs.
  5. Click the Save button.

At this point you may chose to use the Autofill by LinkedIn feature.

Adding a call-to-action to a page

  1. From the side menu, under Content click Web Pages.
  2. Click the Name of the relevant campaign.
  3. Click the Name of the relevant page to load the Page Editor.
  4. A call-to-action displays on the page in the form of a content block. A content block lives inside a row. Click the Add Row button to add a row, then from the drop-down, select the number of columns you wish that row to have.
  5. Within that row, click the Add Block button.
  6. From the drop down, select Call-to-Action.

  7. Click the Edit Block icon in the top left corner
  8. From the Call-to-Action drop down, select the CTA you have just created.

  9. Add some copy/text below to give the CTA context and direct the candidate on how and why he/she should complete it.
  10. Click the Save button.

As soon as your page is live, any candidate who fills out the call-to-action will immediately enter directly into the All Candidates and Applicants list.
