Event planning: Filtering Yes RSVPs from a smart list

Recruitment Marketing Public

This article explains how to create a new Smart List from an existing one by adding a second, more specific filter to identify candidates who confirmed their attendance for a recruitment event.

Scenario: Identifying confirmed attendees

In the run-up to a recruitment event, you had created a smart list that continuously pulled in those candidates who registered interest in attending. Now, you wish to create an additional smart list of those who registered interest and later RSVP'd "Yes" to confirm.

Steps to create the new confirmed attendee list

  1. From the side menu, under CRM, click Lists.
  2. Click the name of the relevant smart list.
  3. The grid screen displays all those candidates who meet the criteria you set when creating the original list. The relevant filters will be populated.
In the example below, you'll see that this list was built to include all those candidates who completed the call-to-action RSVP.

  4. We want to keep this list and create an additional list of those candidates who completed the RSVP CTA and selected Yes.
The RSVP options display as radio buttons in a form type Call-to-Action (CTA), as seen below:

  5. To filter by this field, click the Filters button on the left to expand the options.
  6. Click to expand the Form submissions filter section and select the RSVP: Will you be attending? question.
  7. Tick the checkbox, and select Has any of.
  8. Next, click the drop-down list and select the Yes option.

The grid view will update to include all those candidates who meet both sets of criteria specified, i.e., those from the original list who completed the initial RSVP CTA and now, also those who confirmed their intention to attend the event by selecting the Yes checkbox.
  10. To create a smart list of those candidates, click the Actions button on the right.
  11. Click Create new list.
