Candidate Files

Recruitment Marketing Public

Overview

In addition to the structured profile information you can record against a candidate's profile with the Recruitment Marketing CRM, it is also possible to store related files, such as the candidate's resume or cover letter on their profile.

There are a number of ways that files can be attached to a candidate's profile:

  • Directly uploaded to the candidate card
  • Via a call to action on the career site
  • Imported via an ATS integration
  • Imported via the Recruitment Marketing API
  • From an email into the system from the candidate.

Supported Document Types

Files of the following types can be uploaded to the candidate profile:

  • DOC
  • DOCX
  • GIF
  • JPG
  • JPEG
  • ODT
  • PDF
  • PNG
  • RTF
  • XML
  • X-PNG
  • ZIP.

Configuration options

There are a number of configuration options which determine how files which are uploaded to the system are managed.

To access the configuration options:

  1. From the main menu, select Settings under Company.
  2. From the Candidate menu, select Candidate files.

Parsing of candidate resumes

If the option to parse candidate resumes is enabled, any file which is uploaded against a candidate which the system identifies as being a resume will be automatically parsed to extract information such as skills, education and employment history.

The parsed information will automatically be saved against the candidate's record within the Recruitment Marketing CRM, allowing you to build a more complete picture of the candidate.

Convert incoming email attachments

If the option to convert incoming mail attachments to candidate files is enabled, any attachments on emails received into the system from the candidate's email address (which are of the format types listed above) will be automatically added to the Files section of the candidate, preventing the need for you to add them into the system manually for future reference.
