Recruitment Marketing Public
In addition to the structured profile information that can be recorded against a candidate's profile with the Recruitment Marketing CRM, it is also possible to store related files, such as the candidate's resume or cover letter, on their profile.
There are a number of ways that files can be attached to a candidate's profile:
- Directly uploaded to the candidate profile.
- Via a Call-to-Action on the career site.
- Imported via an ATS integration
- Imported via the Recruitment Marketing API
- From an email into the system from the candidate.
Supported document types
These file types can be uploaded to the candidate profile:
| DOC | DOCX | GIF | JPG | JPEG | ODT |
| PNG | RTF | XML | X-PNG | ZIP |
Configuration options
Configuration options determine how uploaded files are managed.
To access these options:
- From the side menu, under Company, select Settings.
- Under Candidate, select Candidate files.
The following options can be enabled in Recruitment Marketing:
- Enable parsing of candidate resumes to extract skills, education, and experience
- Convert incoming candidate mail attachments to candidate files.
Parsing of candidate resumes
If the option "Enable parsing of candidate resumes to extract information around skills, education and experience" is enabled, any file uploaded against a candidate that the system identifies as being a resume will be automatically parsed to extract information such as skills, education, and employment history.
Recruitment Marketing uses the following criteria to determine whether a document is a resume and will appear in the Resume column of the candidates' lists:
At least two of the following requirements must be met:
-
File title contains:
curriculumorresumeorcvorvitae -
File content contains the words:
curriculumorresumeorcvorvitaeoreducationorhistoryoremploymentorachievementsorreferences. - Supported file types include major word processor formats such as .doc, .docx, .xml, .pdf, .rtf, and .odt, along with various legacy formats.
The parsed information will automatically be saved against the candidate's record within the Recruitment Marketing CRM, allowing you to build a more complete picture of the candidate.
Note:
If the content of the resume is not in English, the system does not currently have the ability translate the content to perform an accurate categorisation.
Convert incoming email attachments
If the option "Convert incoming candidate mail attachments to candidate files" is enabled to convert incoming mail attachments to candidate files, any attachments on emails received into the system from the candidate's email address (which are of the format types listed above) will be automatically added to the Files section of the candidate profile, preventing the need for you to add them into the system manually for future reference.
