Recruitment Marketing Public
In Recruitment Marketing, the candidate interaction score allows you to quickly and easily identify your most engaged candidates by allocating them a score on a scale of 0 (least engaged) - 1 (most engaged). The interaction score is then visible against the Candidate profile in the system.
Configuring the Candidate interaction
- From the side menu, under Company, click Settings.
- From the left menu, under Candidate, click Candidate interaction.
- Enter values for the Threshold fields (e.g. Page Dwell = 90 seconds, # Session (separate visits) = 2 etc).
- Enter values for the Weightings Percentage fields (between 0 and 100) (e.g. Page Dwell = 20%, # Session (separate visits) = 20%, etc).
- Enter values for the Interaction Drop fields (e.g. Interaction drop starts after 6 months, etc).
- Click Save.
Thresholds and Weighting Percentage
The interaction score is a value between 0 and 100 and is determined by setting your thresholds and weightings against these 8 categories. The thresholds define what needs to happen for a candidate to receive a score in that category and the weightings define what weight that score carries against the overall interaction.
For example:
- If a candidate had met every single threshold, their score would total 100.
- If they only met Page Dwell (stayed at least 90 seconds on a page) and visited the careers site twice, but did nothing else on the site, they'd have a score of 40.
In addition to the score being set by behaviour, the score will start to drop over time. An active candidate will have a high score based on the total interaction, but if they do all that interaction in 3 days and then don't return to the site for 9 months, their score will be quite low compared to someone who interacts at a moderate level, but consistently over time.
Interaction Drop
You can also define what the values should be for the "Interaction drop starts after" and "Interaction drop factor" on the Candidate Interaction screen.
- Interaction drop starts after: If there is no candidate interaction for this number of months or more, the system will adjust their score.
-
Interaction drop factor: This is how fast the candidate’s score will drop. The options are; No drop, Slow, Gradual, and Rapid.
- The months without interaction are calculated.
- If this number is positive, then the system will look at the weight for each interaction and raise that weight to the power of 1 (months without interaction * interaction drop factor). This reduces the weight value.
- If not, the weight doesn’t change.
Candidate Interaction Score updates
When a candidate performs an activity which is taken into account by the candidate interaction score configuration rules, the impact of that activity on their current score should be visible on their candidate profile within the CRM within approximately 24 hours.
On a weekly basis, candidate interaction scores for all candidates are updated, thus ensuring that even when a candidate hasn't interacted with the system, their current score is appropriately updated based on the current configuration settings.
If changes are made to the candidate interaction configuration settings for the, a process is triggered to recalculate the scores for all candidates based on the updated settings. Depending on the number of candidates within your CRM database, this update could take a number of days to complete.
