Employee Connections Content Blocks

The Employee Connections module allows you to reinforce the Employer Brand messaging on your career site with powerful employee-generated content. Employee Connections' always-on question and answer platform, along with the Live Chat functionality, allows candidates to connect directly with your existing employees, providing validation around your messaging. You can extend the reach of that valuable employee-generated content to other areas of your talent attraction strategy by utilizing content blocks to showcase your Employee Connections content on website landing pages or by including it within nurture emails.

Configuration 

Before you can start to utilize the Employee Connections content blocks, you will need to enable the synchronization of data from your Employee Connections module. To do this:

  1. Log in to Recruitment Marketing.
  2. From the side menu, under Company, click Settings.
  3. Under Employee Connections, click on API Integration.
  4. Fill in the form with the API credentials, which can be supplied by your PageUp representative:
    1. Employee Connections Domain: Your employee connections URL without http:// at the start, e.g., api.employee-connections.io
    2. Platform ID
    3. Platform Access Key
    4. Status: This is used to activate and deactivate data syncing. Until the other fields are filled in, this integration will not sync.

Note:

If you cannot see the Employee Connections synchronization options, then reach out to PageUp to have it enabled.

What data is synchronized?

The following data is synchronized:

Live Chats

The following is some Live Chats data that is synced from Employee Connections using their API:

  • Title
  • Description
  • URL
  • Start date and time
  • End date and time.

Discussions 

The following is some Discussion data that is synced from Employee Connections using their API:

  • Title
  • Body
  • Status
  • Category
  • Author (if available)
  • Metrics such as upvote counts, views, and reply counts
  • Modified at and created at date and time.

Employees

The following is some employee data that is synced from Employee Connections using their API: 

  • Name
  • Job title
  • Top advice.

Note:

If you cannot see the Employee Connections Discussions options, then reach out to PageUp to have it enabled.

Employee Connections Live Chats

Once the synchronization is configured, a new editing block will become available for both Web Pages and Emails.

Web Pages

A new page editor block will be available under Employee Connections blocks called "Live Chats".

This block can be configured to show your upcoming live chats or show a specific live chat.

Emails 

A new email editor Live Chats option will be available when adding a new block to the email. Clicking this will add a block to show "Live Chats"

Employee Connections Discussions

Once the synchronization is configured, a new editing block will become available for both Web Pages and Emails.

Web Pages

A new page editor block will be available under Employee Connections blocks called "Discussions".

This block can be configured to show your most recent, top discussions or category-specific discussions. The number of discussions shown in the block can be limited by changing the Max number to display value.

Emails 

A new email editor Discussions option will be available when adding a new block to the email. Clicking this will add a block to show "Discussions".

This email discussion block can be configured to show your most recent, top, or category-specific discussions. The number of discussions shown in the block can be limited by changing the Max number to display value.

Employee Connections: Employees

Once the synchronization is configured, a new editing block will become available for both Web Pages and Emails. The carousel showcases the employees chosen to answer questions and gives the user the ability to ask a question directly to them. 

Web Pages

A new page editor block will be available under Employee Connections blocks called "Employees".
