Candidate SP initiated SSO in Recruitment Marketing

Recruitment Marketing Public

Recruitment Marketing uses SAML2 to implement Single Sign-On (SSO) for internal candidates/employees. The benefits of SSO include:

  • Candidates are always known, even without filling out a CTA
  • You can lock content to internal candidates only.

To achieve this candidate SSO, you can use an IdP initiated SSO or SP initiated SSO. For SP initiated, refer to the information below.

Adding a SSO button to a page

Similar to the details noted in step 1 of this section, you'll need to create or update and style your 403 page. Next, add the SSO button to the page using either a text block or an image block, whether existing or new. When you edit the block, a modal edit menu will appear (as shown in the screenshot below). You will find the button under the SSO drop-down menu. sso menu.png

When adding the SSO button, you can customise it by entering your preferred text and choosing from the four available styles to suit your needs.

If the button text box is left empty and no style is selected, the default setting will be a Primary button with the text "Log in".

Once you save the block and update the page, SP initiated SSO for candidates will be enabled on that page.

How it works

When a candidate clicks the SSO button, a request is sent to your Service Provider (SP) to authenticate them. Once authenticated, they are redirected back to the page they originally tried to access. Since they are now logged in via SAML 2.0, they can view the page's content.

To ensure this process runs smoothly, certain configurations must be set up in the Company Settings of Recruitment Marketing. For detailed instructions, refer to the guide on configuring SAML 2.0 for candidates.
