By understanding the keywords visitors use in your careers site search field and seeing how many jobs those keywords bring up, you can create job descriptions that are more tailored, relevant, and effective. This can help attract more visitors and improve conversion rates.
Reporting on a keyword search
- From the side menu, under Reports & Logs, click Reports.
- Click the Search tab.
- If required, enter a Date Range to filter by.
- Set the following to focus on:
- Web Campaign.
- Search Type.
- Search Source.
- Enter the keyword to view search performance on, e.g., part time.
- Click the Search button.
The page's sections refresh, displaying any results found.
Top 100 Keyword Searches
To view your top 100 keywords as determined by the most searched:
- Click the Search tab to return to the general search page and scroll down to the Top 100 Keyword Searches section.
- To view a more detailed report on search performance for any specific keyword, click the link under the Keyword(s) Searched column. The page will load, displaying the Search Performance for "keyword" and the Latest 100 searches results.
- Where any additional filters are applied to the search query in addition to the relevant keyword, these will be included in the Additional Query Filters column.
The example below shows a candidate searching for jobs in the state of VIC, which returned 45 results. When they added a filter for Employment Types: Casual, the search then returned 44 jobs.
