For Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations, a token-signing certificate is generated within your Identity Management Provider (such as Microsoft Entra ID or Okta). This certificate must be imported into the PageUp system to maintain a secure connection. The system supports multiple active certificates simultaneously, which is particularly useful during certificate rotations.
How to Import a Certificate
To import a certificate, a Superuser (System Administrator) should follow these steps:
- Navigate to System Settings.
- Search for and then click on Import Certificate.
- Click on the Choose File button.
- Locate and select the file from your local computer.
- Click Upload.
The certificate is now uploaded and ready for use.
Note:
If your provider supplies the certificate as a
.txt file, you must rename the file extension to
.cer before importing. On Windows, ensure that file name extensions
are enabled in your folder view, then right-click the file and replace
.txt with .cer.
Refer to Microsoft Support for help with file extensions.
Viewing Uploaded Certificates
If you need to verify which certificates are currently active, you can generate a report that provides a comprehensive list of all certificates imported into the PageUp system. This report includes essential details such as thumbprints and expiration dates to help you manage your security credentials effectively.
- Navigate to System settings.
- From the side panel, click Other, then click Configuration Reports. The page will display the list of reports that are available for you to access.
- Using the Description field, search for "Settings > Single Sign On (SSO) Certificates".
- Click on the report's name to view the details, or click Download to get the CSV file.
For a full list of available Configuration reports, refer to our guide on Auditing your system setup using Configuration Reports (sign-in required).
