Email Whitelisting

Public

Due to the ever-increasing problem with spam, many customers are now implementing spam filtering software to block unwanted emails. This document details the domains and  IP addresses from which emails can be sent using the PageUp system. This includes the administration system, the customers' front-end public website, and authentication-related emails.

Domain Whitelist

We encourage customers to whitelist the following domains from which we send emails. This measure is intended to ensure that any additions or removals of IP addresses cause minimal disruption.

  • *.pageuppeople.com
  • *.pageup.com.au

IP Whitelist

In many of these systems, part of the method to detect spam email is to check the IP address of the email's "From" domain to ensure that it matches the email's actual originating IP address. One of the side effects of doing this is that some legitimate emails are blocked. The blocked email can include an email from the PageUp system in some cases (depending on setup).

Important:

Where whitelisting of the domains listed above is not possible, customers can add the following IP subnets to the "Allowed list" in their spam filtering software to prevent this from happening, however, relying solely on IP validation is not recommended and does not adhere to modern cybersecurity practices.

  • 198.21.5.75
  • 167.89.38.80
  • 167.89.7.9
  • 167.89.20.19
  • 167.89.38.81
  • 167.89.16.129
  • 198.37.149.59
  • 134.128.88.198
  • 134.128.88.229
  • 134.128.88.76
  • 134.128.89.116

"From address"

All emails sent from within PageUp will have the "from address" published as "@mail.pageuppeople.com".
This process is designed to reduce the likelihood that emails from the system will be considered spam.

To reply to an email sent out from PageUp, all the recipient needs to do is click the "Reply" button in the email, and the email will automatically replace the "from email address" with the sender's "reply to" email.

For example:

from: careers-<instID>@mail.pageuppeople.com i.e. careers-218@mail.pageuppeople.com
reply to: careers@customerdomain.com i.e. careers@aquacorp.com
to: johndoe@customerdomain.com i.e. johndoe@aquacorp.com

For information on managing the "From address", see Communication Templates for details (login required).

All authentication-related emails, such as two-factor authentication (2FA) code emails and password reset emails, are sent from noreply@login.pageuppeople.com - you can not reply to these emails.

Emailing to the "From address"

If a recipient sends an email to "@mail.pageuppeople.com" instead of clicking "Reply", the email will be sent to an invalid email address and will not be visible to either yourself or PageUp. If you are contacted by a person who advises that they have sent the email to this address, we recommend that you ask them to forward the email to your direct email address.
