Configuring SAML 2.0 SSO for simple Insider and Admin log in

What is SAML 2.0 SSO?

We have created a SAML 2.0 Single Sign On (SSO) integration for Admins and Insiders to have a simpler login than the Employee Connections platform. This integration would be between our customer's Identity Provider (IdP) and ourselves. Common IdPs include Okta, Google and Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), but we will be able to integrate with any SAML 2.0 identity provider.

Configuring SSO Settings

  1. Log into the employee connections admin portal.
  2. Find Platform Settings and select the Platform Personalisation tab.
  3. Scroll down to the SSO Settings area and enter the relevant data.

  4. Set up using either the IDP Metadata UrL or manually inputting the IDP details below it. Either method will enable SSO.
    Note: Some providers, like Okta, make the setup simpler with the URL providing all details. Whereas other providers, like Google, ask you to fill in each field individually. When manually inputting the IdP details, please ensure that the IdP Metadata URL field is empty.
  5. When complete, click Save.
