Communications
This article provides a description of the communications that are sent from Employee Connections to each of the following personas:
- Insider
- Live chat insider
- Administrator
- Candidate
Insider
Insiders will receive automated email communications from the Employee Connections platform when:
- They are invited to complete their insider profile
- They validate their profile - they will receive an automated question to answer
- A candidate asks them a question (or a question is asked to all insiders in a category they belong to)
- An administrator assigns them a video or text question
- They are tagged in a discussion
- A comment is received on a discussion they've contributed to
- A live chat event they're participating in is approaching (reminder sent every week)
- A live chat event they're participating in is starting in 10 minutes (it contains the 'Join the chat' link)
- They click the reset password link on the login page
Live chat insider
Live chat insiders will receive automated email communications from the Employee Connections platform when:
- They are invited to join the platform as a live chat insider
- A live chat event they're participating in is approaching (reminder sent every week)
- A live chat event they're participating in is starting in 10 minutes (it contains the 'Join the chat' link)
- They click the reset password link on the login page
Administrator
Administrators will receive automated email communications from the Employee Connections platform when:
- They are invited to join the Employee Connections platform
- An insider profile is ready to be reviewed and published
- An insider's answer to a question required review before publishing (text or video response)
- There are unanswered candidate questions that require insiders to respond
- The platform generates a weekly digest/summary email
- They click the reset password link on the login page
Candidate
Candidates will receive email communications from the Employee Connections platform when:
- An insider responds to a question they asked
- They are invited to subscribe to a live chat event
- A live chat event they have subscribed to is starting in 10 minutes (it contains the 'Join the chat' link)
- They haven't been active on the platform for a couple of weeks - the platform will send tailored re-engagement emails
- They click the reset password link on the login page
Managing communication preferences
Insiders and administrators can manage their communication preferences by logging into the admin platform and selecting 'Manage settings' under the Account / Settings section of the left-hand menu. Please note, there are some automated communications that users cannot opt out of, as they are integral to the Employee Connections platform.
